Attention Debit Card holders:
All ECU debit cards went through an update process on Tuesday, June 28th. This update should have corrected the issue of receiving a “transaction cancelled” error message. This had been happening to many members specifically at Walmart. ECU debit cards should still be processed as a “credit” transaction. There is not a PIN# associated with our debit cards. At the terminal, this might involve you hitting “other” or selecting “credit” at time of purchase. At Walmart specifically, the terminal will ask if you want cash back, select “no” and then in the bottom right hand corner you might have to select “other”. This should bring up the signature screen. If you are still experiencing issues with your card, please call Member Services. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you.
